SERIES: THE FORTY | 40 HADITH SERIES | HEAR - MEMORISE - CONVEY - No.2

It is our pleasure and honour publishing Shaykh Zubayr Ali Za'i's work on the Kitab ul-Arba'in of Shaykh ul-Islam Imam Ibn Taymiyyah. The hadith in the book in general with the specific effort and work of Shaykh Zubayr increased its importance with the tremendous benefits in the work. The Shaykh outlined the methodology he employed in this work, however due to time constraints we were unable to present this in English, mainly the various indices the Shaykh compiled.

I added some basic points regarding the Shaykh’s biography while cross referencing with other works and the intention is to publish a detailed biography of the Shaykh at some stage In-Sha-Allah. In most places we have not included the differences between the manuscript and focused on the text due to the target audience.

This treatise includes
(1) A lengthy Introduction by Shaykh Zubayr on the 40 hadith genre and an historical overview of hadith literature

(2) A through and comprehensive biography of Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah compiled by Shaykh Zubayr

(3) A Basic Autobiography of Shaykh Zubayr Ali that includes a comprehensive list of his works in Arabic and Urdu.
